George Lwakatare, with H.E Jacob Zuma in Addis Ababa last week. Mr Lwakatare is the Vice Chairperson of Business Link Africa PLC (BLA), head quartered in Nairobi and also is the Managing Director of Hygiene & Pests Management Ltd based in Dar es salaam.
Mr Lwakatare advocated for De-fragmenting Africa by deepening Regional Trade Integration, emphasizing on removing trade barriers and inefficiencies in transport & logistics within the continent.Often citing, while a Tanzanian does not need a Visa to get into Hong Kong, one must get an Ethiopian entry Visa through its Kenyan Embassy. Also, insists Mr Lwakatare, air travel costs more to travel within the continent than to go to Middle East!
